Cleora

Cleora Spara, 69, of Pryor, Oklahoma, known to her friends as Susie, passed away Friday, June 13, 2014 in her sleep. Susie was born Cleora Clawson, daughter of Chuck and Cleo Clawson on April 23, 1944 in Enid, Oklahoma. Her early years were spent in Pryor, Oklahoma, where she grew up with a large extended family filled with aunts, uncles and cousins. She attended school until her graduation at Pryor High School. After High School she married her High School sweetheart, Raydean Craig. Though their marriage did not last, it did give her two beautiful children whom she loved and adored. She struggled as a single mother for the next couple of years, selflessly holding down multiple simultaneous jobs to provide for her two children, always putting their needs and wants ahead of her own. She was an incredible mother. Then she met the love of her life, Stanley Spara. They were married on April 13, 1984 and have spent the last 30 happy years together. Susie had a strong work ethic and worked up until her retirement in 2012. Her working career spanned many skills from Legal Secretary, Accountant, Controller and she even co-hosted a morning talk show with Betty Boyd in Tulsa in the late 1970's. She was a breast cancer survivor. She was a great cook, great decorator and had a knack for making any house a "home". She was quick to laugh and you would be hard pressed not to laugh along with her, she had an infectious spirit that people were drawn to and enjoyed being around. Being around Susie was love and being with her was home, she will be greatly missed. The world will be a less beautiful place, without her in it. . . Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 10 a.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Rev. K. E. Gerhart officiating. Interment will follow in the Bryan Chapel Cemetery at Boatman, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday evening. She is survived by her husband, Stanley Spara; her son, Rad Craig of Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughter, Mercedes Conyers and husband, Ben of Grass Valley, CA; two grandsons, Gage Craig and Colin Conyers; one great granddaughter, Marley Craig; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chuck and Cleo Clawson.
