Connie Heston

Connie Sue Heston, 68, of Owasso, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on August 22, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; the daughter of Frank “Myrl” and Yvonne (Fritz) Powers. Connie worked most of her life in data collection and clerical for many oil companies in the Tulsa area. She had a passion for animals and loved all her rescue dogs that she fostered for many years. Connie enjoyed tending to her flowers and shopping. She was always on the hunt for a bargain. She attended church when she was able at the New Heights Church in Owasso. Connie was loving and kind and looked forward to spending time with her family and friends. She leaves behind many memories for her family to cherish.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 27, 2022 in the Inola Christian Church in Inola, Oklahoma with Pastor Steve Cable officiating. Burial will follow in the Ethel Reece Cemetery in Barnsdall, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2022 at Shipman’s Funeral Home in Pryor. Connie is survived by her sister, Janice Martin and husband Darrell of Inola, Oklahoma; nephews, Chad Martin and fiancé Heather Cooprider, and Chase Martin and wife Teresa; and great nieces and nephew, Paisley Martin, Piper Martin, and Blake Martin; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her son, Shawn Heston and her parents, Frank “Myrl” and Yvonne Powers.
