Corby Thomas

Corby D. Thomas 57, passed away on Monday, July 9, 2018. He was born on May 25, 1961 growing up in Pryor, Oklahoma before moving to Massachusetts. Corby worked at Koopman Lumber in Whitinsville for many years. On October 30, 2001, he married the love of his life, Karen. Corby had a strong work ethic delivering newspapers at an early age and he started work in his teens at Hope Lumber Company which is now Pryor Lumber. His unique sense of humor made him a great friend and colleague. He could be sarcastic and witty and always knew how to make people laugh. Corby had a great love for his animals and included them in his other hobbies such as cheering on his favorite football team the New England Patriots. He also enjoyed reading, and spending time at the beach. He was a music lover and an avid Beatles fan, especially John Lennon. The quote "It matters not who you love, where you love, why you love, when you love, or how you love, it matters only that you love" speaks volumes about Corby's outlook on life. Corby was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in the Fairview cemetery with Jerald Pilant officiating. The family asks memorials be made in his memory to P.A.L. Corby is survived by his wife, Karen of the home; his mother Katy and sister, Belinda. Three sons, Darrell, Carl, and Julian and step-daughter Annie. He became papa to three grandsons, Drew, Jake and Chase. He was a loving son and brother to his mom, Katy, and sister, Belinda. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Don and step-daughter, Lindsey.
