Dale Conner, Sr.

Dale Wayne Conner, 75, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on January 4, 2017 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on June 27, 1941 in Pryor, the son of Lewis Conner and Thelma (Hack) Conner. Dale graduated from Pryor High School. He served in the Air National Guard and worked for Boeing until his retirement. He enjoyed going to the Casino and horse racing. He loved the outdoors especially fishing and hunting in Colorado. Traveling was a favorite pastime of Dale and Sally's. He enjoyed his children and grandchildren and all the time he was able to spend with each one. Dale was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church near Pryor. He will be remembered by all in the memories he leaves each one.

A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 10 a.m. in the
Pleasant View Baptist Church with Reverend Andy Pilant and Jerold Pilant officiating. Honorary casket bearers are Dustin Conner, Darren Conner, Dean Conner, Rick Castleberry and Casey Robinson. Interment will be in the Graham Memorial Cemetery at a later date. Cremation Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service.

Dale is survived by his children, Dale Wayne Conner II and wife, Chris of Iowa and Rachel Lea (Conner) O'Connor and husband Tommy of Pryor, OK; sisters, Beverly Castleberry and husband Danny of Catoosa, OK and Anita Conner of Tulsa, OK; grandchildren, Dustin Conner, Darren Conner and wife, Sadie; a great grandchild Lillie and another one on the way; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sally; parents, Louis and Thelma Conner and a brother Garry Conner.
