Dale Wayne Green

Dale Wayne Green, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on November 13, 2023, at the age of 71. Born on December 19, 1951, in Pryor, Oklahoma, Dale was the son of Jim Green and Christine (Wright) Green. 

Dale had a fulfilling career as an electrician before retiring. He proudly served in the United States Navy, where he demonstrated courage and patriotism during his time of service. The discipline and bravery that he acquired during his military career remained with him throughout his life.

Outside of work, Dale had a deep passion for automobiles. He loved working on cars and possessed an exceptional knack for understanding their mechanics. Whether it was fixing engines or restoring vintage models, Dale's skill and passion shone through in every project he tackled. 

One person who held a special place in Dale's heart was his Uncle Sam Floyd. They shared a common bond working together on a Mayes County Farm. Spending time on the farm allowed them not only to strengthen their relationship but also provided a peaceful escape from the demands of everyday life.

Dale Wayne Green will be remembered as a kind-hearted soul who had an immeasurable impact on those around him. His dedication to hard work, both in his profession as an electrician and in service to his community and country, served as an inspiration to many. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of crossing paths with him.

Dale is preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Christine Green; brother Dwight Green; and sister Cheryl Green. 

Left behind to honor the memory of Dale are many extended family members and friends. 

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Shipman's Funeral Home in Pryor, Oklahoma with Carl Floyd officiating.
