Dane Trout

Dane Juanita Trout, 97, of Pryor, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 in Salina, Oklahoma. She was born on December 12, 1916 in Pensacola, Oklahoma; the daughter of Lewis Kell and Nellie (Stilley) Thompson. She married Woodrow Trout on August 10, 1939 in Jay, Oklahoma. Dane was a lifelong resident of the area and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Pryor. Dane was also very involved in all church functions and loved to help others in need. She was also a member of the Rebekahs of Eastern Star and a 15 year grandmother at Roosevelt Elementary School in Pryor. Many remember Dane for her immaculate yard; she enjoyed so much to keep it, making her home look so inviting. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with those she loved. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation for Dane will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. No formal services are planned. She is survived by her son, Roger and wife Kassy Trout of Farmers Branch, Texas; daughter - in- law, Fran Trout, of Pryor, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Jim and wife Joanne Trout of Pryor, Oklahoma, Janees and husband Brent Taylor of Pryor, Oklahoma; Becky and husband John Portillo of Hurst, Texas, Roger and wife Rosa of Atlanta, Georgia, and Heather Trout of Carollton, Texas; 10 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, Woodrow Trout; 2 sons, Jimmie Lewis Trout and David Allen Trout; and her parents, Lewis and Nellie Thompson.
