Danny R. Howard, 77, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at his home. He was born on August 28, 1937 in Cyril, Oklahoma, the son of Elmer Ray Howard and Mary Lucille (Benton) Howard. He faithfully served his Country in the United States Army. Danny married Brenda Buster on August 27, 1987 in Bentonville, Arkansas and began their life together. On February 12, 1950, Danny accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior. Danny worked for the U.S.D.A. as a Meat Inspector for over 37 years. He was a 32nd Degree Master Mason and a member of the Pryor Creek Masonic Lodge #100. He served as Worshipful Master for two terms. Danny was also a member of the Bedouin Shrine. He also held memberships with the Elks Lodge and the American legion. Danny was very active in so many worthy causes. He dearly loved his family and all the time he spent with each one. His legacy will live on in the lives and memories of all he touched in this life. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 2 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Jerold Pilant officiating. Interment will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Rance Howard, Cody Howard, Kelly Brown, Cory Rogers, Vernon Vail and Chris Curnutt serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are the members of the Pryor Creek Masonic Lodge #100. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. He is survived by his wife, Brenda of the home; his sons, Dalton Rance and wife, Linda Howard of Bridge Creek, OK, Cody and wife, Michelle Howard of Chouteau, OK and Kelly and wife, Krista Brown of Pryor, OK; his daughters, Julie and husband, Jackie Rogers of Pryor, OK and Laura Childress of Fletcher, OK; one sister, Janie and husband, Aubrey Ambrose of Fletcher, OK; 14 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Mickey Howard.
