David Pritchett

David Lee Pritchett, 48, of Adair, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2017 in Pryor. He was born on June 4, 1969 in Pryor, Oklahoma; the son of Jerry Lee Pritchett, Sr., and Frances (Bible) Pritchett. He grew up in Salina, Oklahoma, graduating from Salina High School with the class of 1987. David attended Pleasant Hope Baptist Church in Adair. David was a truck driver for over 10 years and worked for Curry Trucking. Prior to that he farmed and ranched with his brother and had worked with his father and brothers as a carpenter. David also worked at World Wide Steel and Pryor Foundry. He looked forward to spending time outdoors, especially when he was going fishing. He loved to fish, fish and fish and enjoyed taking his boat (PRECIOUS) out as often as possible. He was a wonderful, caring and tender-hearted man, who loved to help anyone in need. He leaves behind many wonderful memories for his family to cherish.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 15, 2017 in the Pleasant Hope Baptist Church in Adair with Reverend Yo - Yo Collins officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hope Cemetery with Chace Pritchett-Cox, Chad Pritchett-Cox, Justin Pritchett, Jr., Jerad Pritchett, Scott Bible and Jeremy Conn serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 14, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. David is survived by his sons, Chace Pritchett - Cox of Tulsa, OK; Chad Pritchett - Cox and wife Kali of Salina, Oklahoma; mother, Frances Pritchett of Adair, Oklahoma; brothers, Jerry Lee Pritchett, Jr. and wife Teresa of Pryor, Oklahoma, Evertt Lee Pritchett and wife Misty of Vinita, Oklahoma, and Justin Lee Pritchett and wife Brandy of Adair, Oklahoma; 2 grandchildren, CJ Cox and Gracie Cox; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lee Pritchett, Sr.
