Deanna Smith

Deanna Mae Smith, 70, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on December 31, 2010 in Pryor. Deanna was born on June 27, 1940 in Claremore, Oklahoma, the daughter of Jack Brassfield and Mayme (Eagleton) Brassfield. She worked as a nurse for Dr. O.U. Holt in Claremore, retiring after 30 years of service. She married Richard E. Smith who preceded her in death in 1990. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Deanna enjoyed flowers and her animals, dogs, cats and a bird. She also fostered animals. She enjoyed reading her Bible. Deanna was the Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, in Claremore, Oklahoma. She will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Oakhaven Memorial Garden Cemetery in Claremore, Oklahoma with Reverend Andrew Rehbein officiating. Casket Bearers will be Meagan Ragsdale, R.C. Greninger, Deacon Greninger, Gene Hise, Mike Coatney and Steve Adams. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Monday evening. Smith Jr. and wife, Essie, of Grove, OK, Rick Smith and wife, Kim of Claremore, OK, Theresa Mangum of Jackson, MS, Tammy Smith and Julia Smith of Menasha, WI, and Souix Greninger and husband, Raymond of Pryor, OK; her brother, Jack Brassfield of Chattanooga, TN; her sister, Betty Waters of Okmulgee, OK; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Smith in 1990 and her parents, Jack and Mayme Brassfield
