Delores Dunham

Delores Dunham, 73, of Joplin, Missouri, passed away on February 23, 2011 in Joplin. She was born on November 18, 1937 in Inola, Oklahoma, the daughter of Willis Honeycutt and Grace (Biby) Honeycutt. Delores was raised in Inola, Oklahoma, lived in Oregon and retired to Yuma, Arizona, and eventually Joplin, Missouri. During retirement she and her husband, James did a lot of RV-ing and fishing. She was a very loving and fun mom. She was ahead of her time in a lot of her thoughts. She always told me that I could do anything a man could do and don't let anyone tell me different. That was back in the 60's and I didn't realize that NOT every girl's mom told them that until I was an adult. Delores was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. Memorial graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 1:00 p.m., in the Chouteau West Cemetery with Reverend David Wilson officiating. Delores is survived by her husband, James Dunham; her daughter, Rita Huffstuter and her husband, Mike and their son, Coy and his wife, Andrea; step-sons, Tim Dunham and his two daughters, Kristen and Tiffany; Mike Dunham and wife, Holly, his children, Marshall and Jeannie; three great grandchildren; sisters, Bessie Harris, Alene Binam, Ola Osborn and Ellen Wilson; brothers, Etsel Honeycutt, Junior Honeycutt, Ivan Honeycutt and Rollo Honeycutt; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Grace Honeycutt; sisters, Maudie Honeycutt, Helen White and Ruby McDaris; brothers, J. D. Honeycutt, Leonard "Gene" Honeycutt and "Joe" Lonnie Honeycutt.
