Dena Kay Watkins, 53, of Adair, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2013 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was born on July 20, 1960 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Elijah Gay and Edna (Brixey) Gay. She married Bill Watkins in 2007, making their life in Adair, Oklahoma. She attended Adair Schools and graduated college in 2011 with her Associates in Accounting and was currently working towards her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. Dena had worked for Integris Hospital for 13 years. Dena was a fun loving and enjoyed giving people a hard time. She enjoyed playing cards and games with family and friends. Dena loved her dog, Oreo. She just enjoyed being with people, going out to eat and spending time with those she loved. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at 2 p.m. in The Gathering Church with Pastor Josh Greer officiating. Interment will follow in the Ghormley Cemetery with Roy Kerns, Jonthan Scheffel, Wesley Gay, Butch Gay, Tony Brixey and Justin Turner serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearer is Jerry Watkins. She is survived by her husband, Bill Watkins of the home; son, Billy Kilpatrick and wife, Melissa of Adair, OK; step-daughter, Angela Watkins of Kansas; sister, Bonnie and Rick Tubbs of McAlester, OK;and one brother-in-law, Jerry Watkins of Kansas; 6 step-grandkids; 1 step-great grandkids; 2 nieces, Kristy and Mary; 1 great nephew, Troy; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elijah and Edna Gay; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Watkins.
