Dennis Allen

Dennis Wade Allen, 64, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018 in Salina, Oklahoma. He was born on August 5, 1953 in El Paso, Texas, the son of Leo Wade Allen and Retha Merle (Robertson) Allen. Dennis married Terri Allen on May 21, 1999 in Denver, Colorado and made a wonderful life together. Dennis worked as a driver for UPS and also as a brick mason. He loved woodworking, especially wood carving and furniture making. Dennis also loved his hotrod and listening to music. He loved his large family and all the time spent with each of them. So many memories he leaves behind for each to cherish.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Robert Belew officiating. Dennis is survived by his wife, Terri of the home; his children, Caleb and wife, Kathy Allen of Frederick, CO, Clayton and wife, Nichole Allen of Castle Rock, CO, Jeffrey Blackman and wife, Melody of Omaha, NB, Thomas Meltz, Jr. of Denver, CO, Tara Lipcomb and husband, Jerry of Denver, CO; mother, Retha M. Allen of Pryor, OK; sister, Debbie Wagner and husband, Gary of Pryor, OK; 10 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Leo Allen in 2011 and 1 grandson, Alex Meltz in 2017.
