Dennis James Dry, 63, of Kenwood, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on March 28, 1957 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the son of Bob and Billie Ann (Pigeon) Dry. He married Ida “Tonka” O’Field on August 6, 1975 in Salina, Oklahoma. Dennis worked around as a machine operator for many years at various plants. He loved to spend time outdoors, going golfing and fishing, and spending time at P & R Park in Kenwood. Dennis had a love for singing and playing drums and always looked forward to getting together with his singing group, "Sacred Sound." He was a member of Euwasha Baptist Church and loved being involved with church activities. Dennis had a special love for his family, especially when it came to spending time with his grandchildren. He had a wonderful smile that touched the hearts of those around him and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Private family graveside services will be held in the Euwasha Cemetery with Reverend Richard Budder officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 16, 2020 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m., until 4:00 p.m., and from 4:00 p.m., until 6:00 p.m. with family receiving friends. Dennis is survived by his wife, Ida “Tonka” Dry of the home; son, D.J. Dry of Kenwood, Oklahoma; daughters, Chanda Littledave and husband Nooge of Kenwood, Oklahoma, Denisa Dry and Jeremy Miller of Kenwood, Oklahoma, and Mika Dry and Michael Stone of Kenwood, Oklahoma; brother, Leon Dry and wife Tina of Kenwood, Oklahoma; parents, Bob and Billie Ann Dry of Kenwood, Oklahoma; sisters, Sharon Budder and husband Richard of Kenwood, Oklahoma, Carolyn “Shorty” Ross and husband Anthony of Kenwood, Oklahoma; and Stephanie Crook and husband Matt of Salina, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Ashton Budder, Logan Littledave, Brayden Littledave, Bobby Cade, Jr., Kellyn Davis, Daxton Dry, Carlee Dry, and Mason Stone; great grandchildren, Rylin Budder and Carter Budder; and many other relatives and friends.
