Dennis Darrell Ogle, 73, of Catoosa, passed away on Sunday, December 11, 2022 at his home. He was born on July 24, 1949 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma; the son of James Monroe and Geneva M. (Moore) Ogle. He worked as a trim carpenter most of his life. Dennis was a pitcher in the Tulsa Men’s Fastpitch League. He was a talented woodworker and enjoyed classic cars, going fishing, and tinkering around his vegetable garden. Dennis was quiet and was serious, but also had a great sense of humor and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and family. He leaves behind many memories for his family to cherish.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 15, 2022 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor with Pastor Gene Ogle officiating. Honorary casket bearers will be Matt Ogle, Kody Ogle, John Ogle, Mitchell Ogle, Jonathan Ogle, Nathan Ogle, Kevin Ogle, Terry Ogle, Brian Greer, Darrell Greer, and Steven Ogle. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Dennis is survived by his wife, Melissa Ogle of the home; sons, Robert Ogle and wife Renee of Claremore, Oklahoma and Travis Ogle and wife Stacia of Hackettstown, New Jersey; 7 grandchildren; brothers, James Ogle, Jr. and wife Eloise of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Donald Ogle of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and Russell Ogle of West Fork, Arkansas; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Geneva (Moore) Ogle; brother, Roger Ogle; and sister, Norma Greer.
