Dennis Rev. Sr.

Dennis Wayne Bendabout Sr. was born on April 5, 1946 in Leach, Oklahoma, the son of John Annie (Hilderbrand) Bendabout. He passed away on December 12, 2010 in Pryor at the age of 64 years, 8 months 7 days. Dennis was a lifelong resident of Mayes Delaware Counties. He entered the U.S. Army and faithfully served his Country in the Viet Nam War. He was married to Leona Mae Stealer on March 1, 1969 in Salina, Oklahoma. He was employed as a metal fabricator in Pryor. Dennis was also a licensed and ordained Southern Baptist Minister for the past 26 years. His churches included Standing Rock, Elm Prairie, Ribbon Baptist and Mt. Calvary Baptist. Dennis was a man who loved his Lord, his Country and his family dearly. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, Dec. 16, 2010 in the New Mission Church at Rocky Ford with Reverend Jess Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Bill Bat Cemetery with Mike Stealer, Jeremy Boney, Russ Feeling, Doug Feeling, Dee Turtle and Steve Jones serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Drake Bendabout, Dennis W. Bendabout III and Jascon Kingfisher. Interment will be in the Bill Bat Cemetery at Rocky Ford, Oklahoma. Dennis is survived by his wife Leona of the home; 1-Son, Dennis Wayne Bendabout Jr. wife Mary of Kenwood, OK; 2-daughters, Shannon Mace husband Jason of Pryor, OK, Traci Kingfisher husband Choogie of Moody, OK; 8-Great Grandchildren; 1-Sister, Linda Bendabout of Kansas, OK; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents; 1-Brother; 1-infant son; 2-infant daughters.
