Diana Kay Motley joined her husband, Richard "Dick" "Mott" Motley, in heaven on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. She was 71 years young. Born August 19, 1940 to Gladys and Donald Doll in Princeton, Illinois, she attended all years of her school in Princeton, Illinois, receiving a B.S. in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University and a Masters in Education from Northeastern State University in Oklahoma. Diana retired from Wal-Mart in 2007 after working there shortly after retiring from TD Williamson Pipeline Survey Co., where she was employed for many years as a pipeline analyst, retiring there with a full tenure. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Pryor and also a member of the United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. She loved doing yard work, designing gardens and ponds and was an expert horticulturalist. She was an assistant Boy Scout master with her husband, Richard Motley, a cat lover and enjoyed the slot machines in later years. She moved to Oklahoma City in 2011. No matter where she was or who she was around she made instant friends because of her warm and inviting personality and sweet but humorous disposition. Loved by all who met her she will be dearly missed. Graveside Services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 at 3 p.m. in the Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor, Oklahoma with Reverend Rob Harris officiating. Following the graveside service, a fellowship will be held at the First United Methodist Church at 400 E. Graham Avenue, Pryor, OK until 6 p.m. with refreshments served. There will be an opportunity for sharing of stories at the fellowship. Visitation with family and friends will be held at Diana's home on Sunday, April 1, at 4428 Rankin Road, Oklahoma City, 73120 from 4 until 7 p.m. It is located off of NW 122nd turning North on Meridian Avenue and going just past the stop sign to the next U-turn back North on Meridian to Rankin Road. Home will be on your right. Visitation will be held from 1-5 p.m. on Sunday afternoon at the funeral home in Pryor, Oklahoma also. Diana leaves behind her son, Michael Motley of Tulsa, OK; her daughter, Laura Motley of Oklahoma City, OK; her sister, Donna Rott of Henry, IL; and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Motley of Pittsburg, PA; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded by her parents, Donald and Gladys Doll and her husband, Richard Motley in 2010.
