Diana Putman

Diana “Di” Lee Putman, 75, of Orlando, formerly of Pryor, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, September 11, 2021 in Orlando, Florida. She was born on April 1, 1946, in Siloam Springs, Arkansas; the daughter of Jack Martin and Anna Lee (Riley) Martin. Di attended Northeastern State University and went on to work for Dr. Collins as his Lab and Xray Manager for many years. She married the love of her life, Phil, on May 3, 1986 and they have spent the last 35 years together. Di loved going to her Thursday night women’s bible study called the Dorks of Real Life and loved the women in her bible study so much. She loved to take her beloved dog, Bella, on walks and meet other women to solve the local and world problems. Di also loved going on camping trips with her husband and dog, Bella. Above all, she loved being a grandmother. She always said that she loved her kids more than anything but her grandkids were a whole other level. She always had a smile on her face and was always quick to help and encourage her friends and neighbors. She was the type of person who always put herself last before everyone else. Di leaves behind many wonderful memories for her family to cherish and will be so dearly missed.

Services for Di will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021, at Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andy Pilant officiating. Burial will follow at Graham Memorial Cemetery in Pryor, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Di is survived by her husband Phil, of the home; son, Joel Christopher Slygh and wife Kim; step sons, Anthony Putman and wife DiAnda and Justin Putman and fiancé Katie Lorando; brothers, Jack Martin and wife Donna and James Martin and wife Tami; sisters, Connie Shippy and husband Kenny and Kathy Allen and husband Larry; grandchildren, Lauren Slygh, Emily Slygh, Jack Slygh, Caleb Walker, Jordan Putman, Devin Putman, Elijah Putman, and Dieghan Lorando; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Anna Lee Martin.
