Chouteau

George Richard Cameron, also known as Dick, 89, of Chouteau, passed from this life on Saturday, December 3, 2022, in Chouteau. He was born on September 6, 1933, in Tulsa, Oklahoma; the son of Dr. Paul B. Cameron and Eva (Edgett) Cameron. He was a life-long resident of Mayes County and graduated from Pryor high school with the class of 1951. Upon graduation, he attended Oklahoma State University for two years. He then joined the military and proudly served in the United States Air Force. In 1964, he married Lois Pankratz in the Pryor Presbyterian Church. He loved to build things and was known to be able to fix anything. He loved watching the weather, reading, competitive target shooting, and driving around just to see if he could find old friends. He held many jobs and would do anything to support his family, but being a pilot and flying was his passion and true love. He leaves behind a wonderful legacy and many memories for all to cherish. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2022, in the Eden Mennonite Church in Inola with Pastor Dave Wiens officiating.
