Dolores Jackson

Dolores Jean (Hair) Davis - Jackson, 84, of Pryor, passed away on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at her home. She was born on November 24, 1932 in Tupelo, Oklahoma; the daughter of Benjamin F. and Myrtle (Horn) Hair. She grew up in Tupelo, Oklahoma and was married to Joe E. Davis on July 12, 1950 in Clovis, New Mexico. They made their home in Cactus and Sunray, Texas; before moving to Pryor in 1954. Dolores was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ in Pryor. After the death of her husband in 1980, she then in 1987, married Paul R. Jackson of Chouteau. He preceded her in death in 2006, and she then moved back to Pryor. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, September 22 ,2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with D.J. Castoe officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 21, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Dolores is survived by her son, Les Davis and wife Carol of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter, Linda Castoe and husband Danny of Pryor, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Shannon Dunham and husband Mike of Pryor, Oklahoma, Jamie Stevenson and husband Kelly of Miami, Oklahoma, Dana Best and husband Carl of Pryor, Oklahoma, D.J. Castoe and wife Rachel of Pryor, Oklahoma and Todd Morris and wife Jeanie of Pryor, Oklahoma; 7 great grandchildren, Joel and Drew Dunham, Lindy and Keegan Stevenson, Eli Best, Teddie Castoe and Janet Morris; sister in laws, Tommie Hair of Shawnee, Oklahoma and Erma Dean Farris of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; numerous nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Myrtle Hair; husbands, Joe Davis and Paul Jackson; 5 brothers, Bud, Clovis, Pete, Doyle, and Clyde Hair; 4 sisters in law.
