Don Williams

Donald A. Williams, 64, of Adair, passed away on Saturday, October 4, 2014 in Adair. He was born on May 23, 1950 in Le Mars, Iowa; the son of Robert and Rose Williams. Don was raised and went to school in the Merrill and Le Mars, Iowa area. He married Mary Lay in November 1977 in Jefferson, South Dakota. He retired from Chevron Phillips Chemical Company of Hagerstown and moved back to Adair, Oklahoma in 2009. He loved the outdoors, especially when he was fishing. Don also enjoyed woodworking and cooking. Don was a dedicated father and grandfather. He looked forward to spending time with his family and cherished each moment he had to spend with them. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 10, 2014 in the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend K.E. Gerhart officiating. Don is survived by his wife, Mary Williams of the home; son, Shannon Daniels and wife Mae and granddaughter, Courtney Jayne of Hagerstown, Maryland, daughter, Terisue Williams - Casey and husband Rick, and four granddaughters, Korin Casey, Ashley Casey, Katie Casey, and Lillie Casey of Branson, Missouri, daughter, Carey Eldridge, two granddaughters, Nicci Eldridge, great grandson, Ryker, great granddaughter, Samantha Keener, and grandson Jeffry Williams, and his fiancé, Stormy White and granddaughter, Caleigh White, and son, Corey Sheehan, and grandson, Aiden Sheehan of California; his mother, Rose Williams; two brothers, four sisters, several nieces and nephews and cousins; many other relatives and friends. Don is preceded in death by his father, Robert Williams.
