Donald Bieberdorf

Donald Ray Bieberdorf, 78, of Langley, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at his home. He was born on May 30, 1936 in Stillwater, Oklahoma; the son of Rudolph Samuel and Minnie Pearl (Sherman) Bieberdorf. In 1972, Don felt the call of God into ministry. He moved first to pastor in Oklahoma City, and then moved to Neosho, Missouri, Jay, Oklahoma and Pensacola, Oklahoma. He went on missionary trips, which included Nicaragua, and helped in a girl's home in Disney, Oklahoma. Don ministered in various denominations, Freewill Baptist, Friends (Quaker), Mennonite, Holiness, and Pentecostal. He married Norma Adams on July 15, 1958 in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Don had a passion for the Lord and sharing the gospel with anyone he came across. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and cherished each moment he had to spend with them. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the Pentecostal Church of God in Pryor, Oklahoma with Reverend Junior Mullins officiating. Interment will be on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in the Marena Cemetery in Stillwater, Oklahoma with Matt Bieberdorf, Joe Bieberdorf, David Costner, Paul Ferguson, John Ferguson, Zack Oliveira, and Glenn Zollman serving as casket bearers. Honorary Casket bearers will be Trae Mullins and Charles Sorber. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 3, 2014 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Don is survived by his wife, Norma Bieberdorf of the home; sons, Matt and wife Marites Bieberdorf of Pryor, Oklahoma and Joe and wife Karen Bieberdorf of Vinita, Oklahoma; daughters, Monika and husband Frank Oliveira of Clovis, California and Katrina and husband Paul Ferguson of Granby, Missouri; sister, Carol and husband Rob Costner of Stillwater, Oklahoma; 14 grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Minnie Pearl Bieberdorf.
