Donald Geiger

Donald Gail Geiger, 73, of Chouteau, Oklahoma, went to be with his Lord on Friday, October 30, 2009. Donald was born on February 17, 1936 in Frederick, Oklahoma, the son of Edwin Geiger and Avis (Gray) Geiger. He married Donna Reid on May 13, 1961 in Chandler, Oklahoma. Donald graduated from OSU with a Bacheloré��â‚â„�s Degree in Education and Agriculture. He retired in 1998 from the State of Oklahoma Land Management Office. He was a member of the Soil Conservation Society of America. Donald was also a member of the Lions Club. He was ordained as a Deacon in Blackwell, Oklahoma and served as Deacon and taught Sunday school at several Baptist Churches throughout his life. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pryor. Donald loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be remembered as a man of faith who loved his Lord and his family with all his heart. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Pryor with Dr. Mike Cox officiating. Interment will be in the Vernon Cemetery at Coweta, Oklahoma with Dick Wann, David Mitchell, Jim Hawkins, Vinton Baker, David Marlett and Nick Simon serving as casketbearers. Honorary Casketbearer is Dwight Sellers. He is survived by his wife, Donna of the home; his children, Gary and wife, Nicole Geiger of Plymouth, MN and Brent and wife, Cheryl Geiger of Chouteau, OK; one sister, Norma Layton of Seminole, TX; grandchildren, Ashley, Kelsi and Brandon Geiger; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one son, Jeffery Don Geiger in 1966; his parents, Edwin and Avis Geiger.
