Donna Cooper

Donna Mae Cooper, 71, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 at her home. She was born on April 11, 1945 in Oildale, California, the daughter of Barrnie B. Davis and Stella F. (Skaggs) Davis. She married Jack Cooper on January 12, 1963 at Chinalake, California. Jack preceded her in death on December 4, 2003. Donna worked as a bookkeeper for the Daily Times until 1998. She was a member of the Elks and the American Legion and enjoyed volunteering her time with the Blue Star Mothers supporting our troops. She enjoyed crocheting & knitting and was an avid bowler for many years. Donna enjoyed going to the casino with friends. Her greatest joy was her time spent with her children, grandchildren, but her great grandchildren were the apple of her eye. She was a lovely lady who enjoyed life.

Funeral Services for Donna will be held on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at 2 p.m. in the Shipman's Funeral Chapel with Reverend Andy Pilant officiating. Interment will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with Barrnie Cooper, Jack Cooper II, Mark Clawson, Jerry Pathkiller, Robert Taylor, and Greg Tom serving as casket bearers. Donna is survived by her daughter, Kerry L. Wheeler and husband, Steve of Pryor, OK; her sons, Jack Cooper II and wife, Sherri of Pryor, OK and Barrnie F. Cooper and wife, Stephanie of Hannibal, MO; her sisters, Bonnie F. Parrott of Spring, TX and Sharon A. Traffanstedt of Bakersfield, CA; seven grandchildren; Timothy Cooper, Heather Arnold, Amber Willyard, Scott Cooper and Barrnie Cooper II, Zack and Rachel; 8 great grandchildren; Best friend, Donna McCall; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack R. Cooper.
