Donnie Ray Chavez, 51, of Wagoner, passed away on January 4, 2014 in Catoosa, Oklahoma. He was born on September 18, 1962; the son of Raymond and Barbara (Alnet) Chavez. Donnie worked as a carpenter most of his life, and enjoyed working in construction. He also loved to spend time outdoors, fishing and woodworking. He loved his family and enjoyed spending time with those who mattered most to him. He will be remembered for all the memories he leaves behind and will be so missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 17, 2014 in the Shipman Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service. He is survived by 2 sons; Christopher and wife Amber Chavez of Pryor, Oklahoma and Robert Chavez of Wagoner, Oklahoma; 1 daughter, Jennifer and fiancé Taylor White of Wagoner, Oklahoma; 2 brothers, Vernon and wife Roxine Littlefield of Francis, Oklahoma and Kenneth Chavez of Claremore, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Ruthie and husband Donny Buller of Pryor, Oklahoma and Marcellena and husband Luke Cummings of Locust Grove, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, Ethan Chavez, Taij Chavez, Zaylei Chavez, Whitney Smith, Collin Hathcoat, Brenden White, Remington White, Kaylee Chavez, Anthony Chavez, Braden Chavez, and Ashlynn Chavez; many other relatives and friends.
