Donny Trammell, 67, of Chouteau, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born on July 19, 1954 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas; the son of Bob and Edna Trammell (Martin). On May 29, 1982, at the age of 27, he married Kelly Doyle in Seminole, Oklahoma. Donny and Kelly celebrated the birth of their son Tyler in 1984. Donny coached basketball, baseball, and football along with teaching Science for 26 years at Okmulgee, Mounds, and Seminole. He was the principal at Chouteau Public Schools until his retirement in 2009. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting and gardening. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends. Donny brought joy and laughter to all those who knew him. Donny was steadfast in his faith and a great example of strength in every part of his life.

Donny’s life will be celebrated in Word Fellowship Church at 10:00 am on Tuesday, October 12, 2021. To leave his family a message, please visit his tribute wall at www.shipmansfuneralhome.com. He is survived by his wife, Kelly Trammell of the home; his son, Tyler Trammell and his wife Erica of Bixby, Oklahoma; his brothers, Robby Trammell and wife Linda of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Ronny Trammell and wife Kathy of Drury, Missouri; his sister, Latricia Trammell of Edmond; his grandchildren, Anica and Cash Trammell; and many other relatives and friends.
