Dorothy Barfield

Dorothy Mae Barfield, 72 of Pryor, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 in Tula. She was born September 19, 1944 in Los Angeles, California to Clifford M. and Annie (Bond) Burchfield. She married Ron Barfield on October 13, 1962 in California. One of her favorite past times was reading. Dorothy had been a member of the Harmony Star church, and currently was a member at the Gathering church in Adair. Her grandkids and family were one of her greatest joys. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 14, 2017 at The Gathering Church in Adair with Josh Greer officiating. Dorothy is survived by her husband, Ron Barfield Sr. of the home; Son, Ron Barfield Jr. and wife Diana of Adair, Oklahoma; daughters, Laura Barfield of Pryor, Oklahoma, Naomi Gibson of Pryor, Oklahoma, Norma Rademacher and husband Duane of Beggs, Oklahoma, Julie Berta of Olatha, Kansas, Karin Anderson and husband Roy of Cushman, Arkansas; sister, Shirley Thron of Arizonia; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Clifford and Annie Burchfield; brother, Richard Burchfield and Elwood Burchfield; sisters, Nora Rogers and Barbara Trosper.
