Dortha Geraldine "Gerri" Feeler

Dortha Geraldine "Gerri" Feeler, age 77, passed away on November 28, 2023, in Langley, Oklahoma. She was born on July 20, 1946 in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to Thomas Jones and Dortha M Jones. She was an extremely kind and caring woman, the backbone of the whole family. She was an amazing mother, grandma, great grandma, and sister. Dortha was known for her independence and selflessness, always putting others before herself. She gave with all her heart and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who held a special place in her heart. Dortha will be remembered as a perfect example of how to live.

 

Dortha graduated from higher education and worked as a beautician for most of her life. She found joy in her career and brought beauty to the lives of others through her work. In her free time Dortha enjoyed traveling with her husband during his time in the Army and retirement. She cherished the moments spent with her grandchildren and had a deep love for her pets, who were her whole life.

 

Dortha is survived by her sons, Gary Feeler and Keith Feeler (wife Bobbie); her brothers, Tommy Jones (wife Joyce), Richard Jones, and Ralph Jones (wife Mary); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Joe Feeler Sr.; her parents, Thomas Jones and Dortha Jones; her son, Lonnie Joe Feeler Jr.; and her sisters, Mary Gilmore and Carol Jones.

 

A memorial service will be held on December 9, 2023, at 1:00 pm at First Christian Church, located at 220 Cherokee Ave, Langley, OK 74350.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Military Cemetery in Pensacola, Oklahoma, in honor of Dortha's service.
