Douglas Carr

Douglas Holland Carr, 60, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on April 25, 2014 at his home in Pryor. He was born on November 3, 1953 in Lincolnton, North Carolina; the son of Alvin and Thelma (Parris) Carr. He worked with Mayfield Construction the past 16 years. He has lived in Pryor for 26 years coming from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He married Dneta Bickford on March 28, 1991 in Fort Smith, Arkansas after being together since 1985. Douglas attended Your Place Church in Pryor with his family. Douglas enjoyed woodworking and spending time with the kids in his life. He enjoyed spending time with his family and enjoyed each moment he had to spend with them. He will be remembered for all the wonderful memories he leaves behind and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Douglas is survived by his wife, Dneta Carr of the home; daughter, Laura and husband, Bryan Wilson of Pryor, OK; grandchildren, Maraje Wilson and Rivers Wilson of Pryor, OK; brothers, Alvin Carr of Pryor, OK, Alvis and wife, Dorothy Carr of Pryor, OK; sister, Betty Sue Waters of South Carolina; mother-in-law, Beverly Bickford of Poteau, OK; brother-in-law, Donnie and wife, Twila Bickford of Poteau, OK; sisters-in-law, Karen Childs of Bentonville, AR and Lawayna Williams of Hazelhurst, GA; many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Thelma Carr; brother, Steve Carr; best buddy, Wayne Bickford.
