Drake McGillivray

Drake Ryan McGillivray, 32, of Pryor, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 in Pryor. He was born on August 15, 1985 in St. Paul, Minnesota; the son of Douglas Green and Roxanne Jones. Drake attended Pryor Public Schools, starting in the 6th grade and graduated in the Class of 2003. He worked at M & M Industries as a machinist. He enjoyed his work and was great at his job. Drake enjoyed music and poetry and loved playing the guitar. He also enjoyed being around children and playing with animals. He looked forward to spending time with his family, especially when he was able to go fishing with his grandpa. Drake had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m, Tuesday, March 13, 2018 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Lorne Beck officiating. Burial will follow in the Hill Arrest Cemetery in Sioux Fall, South Dakota. Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Monday, March 12, 2018 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Drake is survived by his father, Douglas Green of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; mother, Roxanne Jones of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sisters, Shayla Heier and husband Nick of Lincoln, Nebraska; nephew, Cooper Heier of Lincoln, Nebraska; paternal grandparents, Leroy and Armena Green of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Melshiemer and maternal grandfather, Paul McGillivray.
