Earl Ruffin

Earl Raymond Ruffin, 89, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2012 in Pryor, Oklahoma. He was born on June 16, 1923 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the son of Clarence Ruffin and Florence (Finkbinder) Ruffin. Earl faithfully served his Country in the United States Navy. He married Joann Boucher on November 27, 1944 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. Earl loved animals and spent time feeding the wildlife. He enjoyed watching old westerns. Earl was a member of the Southside Christian Church. He enjoyed attending his Sunday School Class taught by Dave Greer. Earl loved his Lord and his family. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services for Earl will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Shipman‘s Funeral Chapel with Reverend K. E. Gerhart officiating. He is survived by his sons, Ron and wife, Janine Ruffin of Hillsboro, MO, Terry and wife, Marie Ruffin of Pryor, OK and Randy and wife, Robin Ruffin of Pryor, OK; 8grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joann in 2008; his parents, Clarence and Florence Ruffin; one brother, Everett Ruffin.
