Edna Painter

Edna Ruth Painter, 81, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019 in Pryor, Oklahoma.  She was born on January 25, 1938 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, the daughter of Albert Bill Cook and Opal Mae (Birth) Cook.  Edna married Charles Martin and raised four children together.  After Charles’ passing later in years, Edna married Don Painter, who preceded her in death also.  She was all about her family, the kids and grandchildren, who were her pride and joy.  She enjoyed going to garage sales, looking for those special buys early in the mornings.  Edna enjoyed flower arranging and working with them to make arrangements for her home.  She was a wonderful lady who leaves many special memories for all who knew and loved her to cherish.

She is survived by her son, Charles “Chuck” Martin of Haskell, OK; her daughters, Sharon Martin of Okay, OK, Donna Beede of Vinita, OK and Debra Willerton of Mazie, OK; her brother, Fred Bailey of Muskogee, OK; half-sisters, Bonnie Book and Faye Guinn; 10 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Martin and Don Painter; sisters, Lenora Giles, Geraldine Adair, Maxine King and Billie Painter.
