Edna Ramsey

Edna Pearl Ramsey, 87, of Pryor, passed away on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in Tulsa. She was born on March 18, 1930 in Billings, Missouri; the daughter of John Oliver and Florence (Hull) Ball. She married Raymond Eugene Ramsey on December 27, 1947 in Salina. Edna enjoyed watching television, fishing, reading, and sewing. She also looked forward to going on Sunday drives, sightseeing, and looking at the fall foliage. Edna loved to attend get togethers with her family and cooking. She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Pryor and enjoyed attending church services and events. Edna loved her family and was a wonderful mother and grandmother.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 28, 2017 in the Pentecostal Church of God in Pryor with Reverend Junior Mullin offficiating. Burial will follow in the Hogan Cemetery with Ethan Cooper, Craig Page, Robert Sappington, Trae Mullin, Jeremy Nevitt, and Aaron Etchison serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Zachary Lingle. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 27, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Edna is survived by her daughters, Connie Ramsey of Pryor, Oklahoma and Kathy Page and husband Dee of Mena, Arkansas; son, Junior Mullin and wife Bonnie of Pryor, Oklahoma; sister, Betty McCarty of Pryor, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Ruth Lingle and Samantha Hood; 5 great grandchildren, Robert Sappington, Kirstin Cooper, Courtney Prescott, Ethan Cooper, and Zachary Lingle. She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Florence Ball, her husband, Raymond Ramsey; son, Raymond Lee Ramsey, brother, Ray Bal, sister, Dorothy Fraizer; and grandson, Curtis Prescott.
