Edward Ackerman

Edward Lee Ackerman, 76, of Pryor, passed away on Friday, July 23, 2021 in Claremore, Oklahoma. He was born in Bentonville, Arkansas in 1945; the son of Henry and Pauline (Kramer) Ackerman. Edward married Sharon on May 15, 1965 and celebrated 56 years of marriage. He worked for many years in mechanical repair for GRDA. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandson and family and loved each moment with them. He leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Edward is survived by his wife, Sharon Ackerman of the home; son, John Ackerman and wife Mary, of Owasso, Oklahoma; daughter, Sharon “Shari” Ackerman of Columbia, Missouri; 3 grandchildren, Donya ElShoubasi of Chicago, Ziad ElShoubasi of Columbia and Zane ElShoubasi of Columbia; 1 great grandson, Salim ElShoubasi of Columbia; brother, John Ackerman and wife Tonya; sisters, Mary Tipton, Frances Milliken and Catherine and husband Glen Pettus; one sister-in-law, Paula Pautsky and one brother-in-law, Harley Tillman, as well as many nieces, nephews, and long-time friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Pauline Ackerman; sisters, Elaine Tillman, Irene Owens, and brothers, Rolla Ackerman and Wayne Ackerman.
