Eldean Buffington

Eldean Turner - Buffington, 56, of Strang, passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at her home. She was born on April 2, 1961 in Claremore, Oklahoma; the daughter of Louie and Agnes (Budder) Lyman. She worked most of her life as a seamstress at Fabricut. Eldean had a talent for beading, she was known for her beadwork around the area, and enjoyed the hobby. She also loved to cook, she looked forward to having family dinners and spending time with those she loved most. Eldean was a member of the Euwasha Baptist Church in Kenwood. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother who leaves behind so many wonderful memories for her family to cherish.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 18, 2017 in the Euwasha Baptist Church in Kenwood with Reverend Richard Budder officiating. Burial will be held in the Euwasha Cemetery with Nathan Locust, Caleb Turner, Zachary Lyman, JD Easter, Jr., Dylan Morris, and Cody Favinger serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Floyd Taylor, Christopher Frances, JD Easter, Sr., Logan Pickup, Brent Lyman and Braden Turner. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Sunday, December 17, 2017 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Eldean is survived by her husband, Glen Buffington of the home; sons, Richard Turner of Strang, Oklahoma; daughters, Lynelle Turner and Darren Samuel of Bixby, Oklahoma and Stephanie Turner of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; brothers, Edwin Lyman of Oaks, Oklahoma, Jason Lyman of Oaks, Oklahoma, Calvin Lyman and wife Hootie of Salina, Oklahoma, Gilford Lyman of Flint Ridge, Oklahoma; sisters, Lillie Lyman of Salina, Oklahoma, Henrietta Taylor and Arlin Favinger of Keys, Oklahoma, and Anna Lyman of Cotulla, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Louie Lyman; son, Lee R. Turner, and granddaughter, Ella Locust.
