Elden Blackwell

Odell Blackwell went home to be with his precious lord Jesus on December 14, 2015. Odell was born on August 27, 1940 to Sam and Lucille "Coverdale" Blackwell Cordrey in Murphy, Oklahoma. They moved to Pryor when Odell was a little boy. He attended school in Pryor and after high school he joined the Army. He was honorably discharged in December 1965. Odell and Sandra "Holman" Blackwell met, fell in love and married in August 1960 in the Assembly of God Church in Pryor and made their home in Pryor. They attended the Pentecostal Church of God, and were members of the Fellowship of Christian's and Jew's helping to fly Jew's back to Israel. Private family services were held on Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Graham Memorial Cemetery, Pryor, Oklahoma with Reverend Junior Mullin officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service. Odell and Sandra have 3 sons; Frankie Blackwell Sr., of Pryor, Randall Blackwell of Pryor, and Scott and wife Marcena Blackwell of Pryor and wife Sandra is waiting to go be with Odell and Jesus; 8 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, He was preceded in passing by his mom and dad and a step father; 2 brothers, Stanley Dale and Terry Lee Blackwell; 1 Sister, Carol Ruth Thompson, and 1 Half Sister, Jolene Cordery.
