Eleanor Jane Voth, a beloved matriarch and cherished member of her community, passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024, in Pryor, Oklahoma, at the age of 84. Born on November 26, 1939, in Clinton, Oklahoma, Eleanor spent her life nurturing her family and creating a warm, inviting home filled with love and laughter. On August 1, 1958, in Bessie, Oklahoma, Eleanor married Melvin Voth, and together, they built a beautiful life grounded in love, faith, and family. Their enduring partnership was one of shared responsibilities and unwavering care. Eleanor dedicated herself to her home, finding joy in cooking and canning, and lovingly ensuring her family’s needs were always met. Her commitment to Melvin and her children stood as a testament to her selfless and giving spirit. Their bond remained strong until Melvin’s passing in 2022. She also took great pride in managing the bookkeeping for the family farm, a role she fulfilled with diligence and care, contributing to the legacy she and Melvin built together. For 55 years, Eleanor faithfully attended Zion Mennonite Church, where her faith served as the foundation of her life. She shared her passion for Christ as a Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible School leader, where her kindness and wisdom inspired countless lives. Eleanor’s devotion to her church and community shone brightly, and her welcoming spirit touched the hearts of all who had the privilege to know her. Eleanor found immense joy in spending time with her grandchildren, and her greatest delight was creating precious memories through simple moments of connection. She was always ready for a game of dominoes, and in her later years, she found peace in working on jigsaw puzzles. Her grandchildren will forever hold these moments close to their hearts, remembering their grandmother’s gentle laughter and playful spirit. As we reflect on the life of Eleanor Voth, we remember her unwavering faith, her devotion to her family, and her open-hearted kindness to all. Although she is no longer with us in body, her spirit and love will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory be a blessing and a reminder of the beauty of a life well-lived.
