Eliza Mae Arthurs, 22, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, was born on January 2, 2001, in Pryor, Oklahoma; the daughter of Rev. Mike and Traci (Walden) Arthurs and Jennifer “JT” Rowe. Eliza went to sleep in Jesus surrounded by many people who loved her at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma on Thursday, April 20, 2023. Eliza loved her family dearly. Eliza had four sisters and a brother who she loved and cherished. So many memories were made with her siblings in such a short life. She loved her son deeply and he is her legacy. Eliza made a decision in 2012 to follow Jesus and was baptized at Exciting Southeast Baptist Church in Pryor, Oklahoma. She then later attended Verdigris Assembly of God in Verdigris, Oklahoma. Eliza will be remembered as a person who enjoyed traveling and seeing new places. Who had a smile that could light up a room and a contagious laugh. Who was kind and caring. Eliza leaves her loved ones with many long-lasting memories that we all will cherish for a lifetime.
Funeral Services for Eliza will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 28, 2023, in the Ballou Baptist Church with Reverend Rob Pierce and Michael Abel officiating. Interment will follow in the Ballou Cemetery with Bradley Thompson, Vincent Thompson, Josh Keeton, Trenton Chamberlain, Derek Fine and Dakota Dunn serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Douglas Monroe, Doug Arthurs and Nick Hammack. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 27, 2023, at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Eliza is survived by her parents, Mike Arthurs and wife, Traci of Claremore, OK and JT Rowe of Sapulpa, OK; her son, Damian Wayne Jackson Arthurs of Claremore, OK; brother, Donald Cash Arthurs of Claremore, OK; sisters, Dawna Arthurs of Catoosa, OK, Lydia, Emma and Levota Arthurs all of Claremore, OK; many other friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her great grandmother, Freda Coy; grandpa, Donald Arthurs; grandpa, Vaughn Rowe; and grandmother, Mary Ballou.
