Elizabeth Martin

Elizabeth Janet (Betty) Martin of Chouteau, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2014 in Pryor, Oklahoma. She was born February 1, 1939; the daughter of Edward and Beulah Morris in Indianapolis, Indiana. Betty enjoyed cooking for her family, loved crocheting, canning, Nascar racing, loved O.U. football as well as all sports. Betty loved spending time with her family especially the holiday gatherings. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor, Oklahoma with Reverend Loren Beck officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday September 1, 2014. Interment will follow in the Chouteau North Cemetery. Casket bearers will include: Brian Doyle, Joshua Martin, Matthew Martin, Logan Hathcoat, Brandon James, Trevor Doyle. Betty is survived by two sons, David and wife Veronica Martin of Chouteau, Oklahoma; Donald Martin of Chouteau. One daughter, Sarah and husband Timmy Goins of Salina, Oklahoma. One brother, Jim Morris of Phoenix, Arizona. Two sisters, Sandra Schwartz of Indianapolis, Indiana. Mary Morris of Sho Low, Arizona. Grandchildren: Brian Doyle, Joshua Martin, Matthew Martin, Logan Hathcoat, Daysha Goins and Ryan Martin. Great grandchildren, Trevor Doyle, Abby Doyle, Zoe Martin. She was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents, Daughter; Amy Doyle; two sisters; Loretta Morris, and Nan Palamino.
