Ella Davis

Ella Mae Davis, 90, of Spavinaw, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2015 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on February 7, 1925 to Joe and Lula (Constitution) Davis. She attended school in Spavinaw and was a charter member of the Ribbon Baptist Church. Ella Mae enjoyed family gatherings and Gospel singings. She was a former WM.U. Director of Ribbon Church. She also looked forward to quilting and spending time with her family. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, April 5, 2015 in the Ribbon Baptist Church in Spavinaw with Reverend Richard Pickup officiating. Burial will follow in the Jack Ribbon Cemetery with Archie Buzzard, Milton Honawa, Jr., Dylan Hayes, Steven Parrish, Buck West, and Cullus Buck serving as casket bearers. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 1, 2015 in the Shipman's Funeral & Cremation Service. She is survived by her daughter, Edna Tanner of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Lula Davis; 2 sons, Woodrow Tanner, and Ronald Davis Tanner; three brothers, Charley Davis, Dick Davis, Clifford Davis; three sisters, Maggie Pickup, Mary Jane Hair, and Lucille Davis.
