Ella Mae Jumper, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, passed away on Wednesday, December 13th, 2023, at her home in Spavinaw, Oklahoma at the age of 85. She was born on March 17th, 1938, in her childhood home in Kenwood. Ella Mae's warm and caring nature touched the lives of many and she will be deeply missed.

Ella Mae had great dedication to her family and cherished every moment spent with them. One of her greatest joys was sitting around visiting with her children and grandchildren. Ella Mae's love for her family knew no bounds.

A devout member of Ribbon Baptist Church, she eagerly attended services and actively participated as a member of WMU. Her commitment to the church community was unwavering. She served the church as a dedicated housekeeper. Ella Mae's dedication to her church family was a testament to her compassion and devotion.

Among Ella Mae's proudest accomplishments was raising her five sons, Darryl Jumper, David Jumper, Roger Jumper, Johnnie Jumper, and Roosevelt Jumper Jr., as well as her two daughters: Rosenell Jumper and Darlene Jumper. 

Ella Mae is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Annie Smoke; her husband, Roosevelt Jumper; sons Darryl Jumper, David Jumper, and Roger Jumper; brothers Leonard Smoke and Louie Smoke; sisters Nellie Jane Boney and Louise Sullateskee. While she will be deeply missed, her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her surviving family.

Ella Mae is survived by her sons Johnny Jumper of Spavinaw, OK, Roosevelt Jumper Jr., of Pryor, OK and Leonard Jumper and wife Tilitha of Jay, OK; daughters Rosenell Russell and husband Joe of Salina, OK and Darlene Jumper of Spavinaw, OK; brother Charles Smoke and his wife Betty; sister Roberta Smoke; 49 grandchildren, and an astonishing 105 great grandchildren. The love and legacy that Ella Mae leaves behind in her extensive family are testaments to the impact she had on their lives.

Funeral services for Ella Mae will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Ribbon Baptist Church with Reverend Cullus Buck officiating. Burial will follow at the Euwasha Cemetery in Kenwood with Cherokee Sharp, Josh Lee Jumper, Chastin Jumper, Brandon Terwilliger, Bryce Jumper, and Roosevelt Mora. Honorary casket bearers include Reggie Jumper, Devin Jumper, and Billy Smoke. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2023, in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel.
