Ella Lawrence

Ella Vee Lawrence, 90, of Pryor, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 in Pryor. She was born on October 20, 1927 in Strang, Oklahoma; the daughter of J.A. and Gladys (Boswell) Hoover. She worked in management for many years at Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Pryor. Ella was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Pryor and enjoyed going to services and attending church activities. Ella had a green thumb and enjoyed growing plants around her home and loved to host holidays at her home with her family. She leaves behind many wonderful memories for her family to cherish.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 21, 2018 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel in Pryor with Trae Mullin officiating. Burial will follow in the Graham Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 20, 2018 in the Shipman's Funeral Home Chapel. Ella is survived by her sons, Gary Lawrence of Phoenix, Arizona, Terry Lawrence and wife Chris of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jerry Lawrence and wife Linda of Tulsa, Oklahoma; brother, Floyd Hoover and wife Anita of California; grandchildren, Robin Solorio, Jennifer Lawrence, Jamie Michalski, and Christopher Lawrence; great grandchildren, Kyle Michalski and Maxton Lawrence. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leroy Lawrence; and parents, J.A. and Gladys Hoover.
