Ella Squirrel

Ella Mae Squirrel, 86, of Strang, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2011 in Salina, Oklahoma. Ella was born on January 5, 1925 in Locust Grove, Oklahoma, the daughter of Andrew Dreadfulwater and Maudie (Rowe) Dreadfulwater. She married Dick Squirrel who preceded her in death. Ella enjoyed playing Bingo. She also enjoyed music and dancing. Ella loved her family and spending time with them. She will be so very missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services for Ella will be held on Monday, October 17, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Ribbon Baptist Church in Spavinaw with Reverend Loyd Boney and Reverend Kevin Lancaster officiating. Interment will be in the Ribbon Cemetery with Jeremiah Squirrel, Aaron Squirrel, Clyde Wayne Squirrel Jr., Jamie Hair, Andrew Smoke and Bill Millsap serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers are Darin Briggs and Tyler Hauser. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday. She is survived by her children, Rocky Squirrel of Ketchum, OK, Ella Holt of Ketchum, OK, Clyde and wife, Jeanne Squirrel of Strang, OK, Andrea and husband, Rodney Sullivan of Adair, OK, Bull and wife, Tina Squirrel of Pensacola, OK and Martha and husband, Buff Chisolm of Satsuma, AL; 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Squirrel; her son, Danny Lee Squirrel ; her daughter, Aleene (Squirrel) Millsap; three granddaughters, Lucretia Squirrel Smith, Melanie Cole Davis and Melissa Chisolm Williams; four sisters.
