Obituary for Eugenia Maye Sperling, 84, of Pryor, Oklahoma, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 in Claremore, Oklahoma. She was born on May 27, 1932 in Winslow, Arkansas, the daughter of Glevous Spencer Stout and Bertha Eva (Reese) Stout. She owned and operated Maye's Bake Shop for many years. She and her late husband, were Camp Hosts for several State Parks, where everywhere they went, people fell in love with them. She enjoyed watching hummingbirds and could grow anything. She collected roosters for her kitchen. All the kids knew her as Nanny Maye. Nanny Maye loved her children and loved her grandchildren even more. A lovely lady who never met a stranger, she was loved by all. She was a member of Extreme Church in Pryor. She will be so very missed by everyone and leaves wonderful memories behind for all to cherish. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Extreme Church in downtown Pryor with Pastor Ronnie Gaines officiating. Interment will follow in the Ross-Mayes Cemetery in Salina with Johnny Golbek, Jerrad Showalter, Sean Farnsworth, Tom Bond, Gabrial Cutrer, Lawrence Standingwater Jr., Travis Brown and Jeremy Rowe serving as casket bearers. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy John Showalter; her second husband, Lee Ray Sperling Sr; her son, Von Roy Showalter; her daughter, Theresa Faye Haskins; her grandson, Andrew Roy Haskins; her parents, Glevous and Bertha Stout; 2 brothers, Norman Goldsborough and Melton Goldsborough; 2 sisters, Ann Fletcher and Bonnie Ziskovsky.
