Eva Nell Mahan, 85, of Chouteau, went to her heavenly home on Saturday, October 31, 2020 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born on March 29, 1935; the daughter of Curt and Pearl Tincher. Eva grew up in Tahlequah where she met the love of her life Donal. They were married on February 19, 1955 then moved to Sand Springs where they started their family. In 1979 they moved to Chouteau and spent the rest of their 46 years together before his passing October 2, 2001. Together, they had 2 children: Teresa and Steve. Eva loved painting, camping, and traveling, especially to Branson. She also, loved her church family and Bunko groups. More than anything, she loved spending time with her family and going to her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s events. They meant the world to her. Eva was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Services for Eva will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Chouteau First Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Wall officiating. Masks are recommended for the service. Burial to follow at Chouteau West Cemetery with Mike Inglett, Josh Mahan, Kevin Gilmore, Cody Gilmore, Allen Hayles, Jason Stimson, Jim Bob Ashley, and Mitch Rolph serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Jeremy Shelton, Adam Klucevsek, Floyd Wallace, and John Clemmens. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shipman’s Funeral Home. Eva is survived by her daughter, Teresa Gilmore of Chouteau, son, Steve Mahan and wife Denise of Chouteau; grandchildren, Mike and Amanda Inglett, Nicole and Jeremy Shelton, Brooke Mahan, Josh Mahan, Kevin Gilmore, and Cody and Paige Gilmore; great grandchildren, Shelby, Chesney, Presley, Bristol, Piper, Miranda, Mackenzie, Nate, Kaylee, Mariah, Jake, Rhett, Nolan, and Vivian; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Donal, parents, Curt and Pearl; infant daughter, Deborah Kay; and son in law, Jim Gilmore.
