Eva Potts

Eva Lena Potts, 81, of Chouteau, passed away on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at her home. She was born on March 24, 1939 in Warner, Oklahoma; the daughter of Mortie and Ruth (Shrum) Scott. Eva married Bill Potts on December 23, 1955 at the Lone Chapel Church in Pryor, and was just 11 days shy of their 65th wedding anniversary at her passing. She loved to exercise, walking and doing water aerobics. Eva looked forward to making Christmas candy and loved to give them to family and friends at the holidays. She had quite the sweet tooth, and always had something sweet baked around the house. She loved her family, and especially loved being a grandmother. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend who leaves behind many memories for her family to cherish.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Joel Powell officiating. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery with Jason Crane, Colby Crane, Gavin Crane, Ryan Crane, Allen Potts, Stanton Potts, and Gage Crane serving as casket bearers. Honorary casket bearers will be Tommy Scott, Kevin Philbin and Jerry Philbin. Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m., until 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 14, 2020 in the Shipman’s Funeral Home Chapel. Eva is survived by her husband, Bill Potts of the home; son, Ronnie Potts and wife Anita of Pryor, Oklahoma; daughter, Annette Crane and husband Pete of Inola, Oklahoma; brothers, Thomas Scott and wife Dewanda of Modesto, California and Twin brother, Eddie Scott of Pryor, Oklahoma; sister, Margie Cramer of Modesto, California; grandchildren, Jason, Wendi, Colby, Cali, Michael and Allen; 13 great grandchildren; sister in law, Glenda Rush and husband Jim of Pryor, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews, with a special niece, Wilma Bohot of Arkansas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mortie and Ruth Scott; inlaws, Earl and Mary Potts; brothers, Johnny and MB Scott; sister, Norma Wright; and grandson, Pistal Crane.
