Ezekiel Vann

Junior Vann, 78, of Salina, Oklahoma, passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 in Salina, Oklahoma. He was born on December 30, 1933 in Salina, Oklahoma, the son of Ezekiel Vann Sr. and Celia (Bark) Vann. He graduated from Salina High School, then entering the United States Army. When he returned home he received his education in dry cleaning at OSU Tech in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. Upon receiving his education, he went to work for Stripling Dry Cleaners in Pryor, retiring after 30 years of service. He was an accomplished musician, playing the steel guitar and fiddle. He enjoyed playing and listening to country/western music. Junior enjoyed being outdoors, especially fishing. He was a member of the Standing Rock Baptist Church. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, February 6, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Standing Rock Baptist Church with Reverend Jess Williams officiating. Interment will be in the Grass Cemetery. Junior is survived by his sons, Bradley Vann of Tulsa, OK and Brian and wife, Timi Vann of Seattle, WA; his daughters, Cornelia Vann of Tulsa, OK and Angela Hodge of Locust Grove, OK; his grandchildren, Zachery, Dustin, Brittany, Lindsey, Sophia, Olivia, Brittany Lea and Kenneth; his great grandchildren, Cornelia Marie and Arianna; many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ezekiel and Celia Vann; one sister, Elizabeth Vann.
