Faybelle "Faye" I. Giblin, a Pryor resident for fifty-five years, passed away May 6, 2013 at the age of ninety-four in Antlers, Oklahoma. Faye was born on August 15, 1918 in Damascus, Arkansas, the daughter of Vernon Horton and Lena Rosetta (Leehy) Horton. She graduated from Blackwell High School in May of 1936. She met Harold Giblin in 1936 and they married on May 27, 1939 at Cushing, Oklahoma. She served as Girl Scout leader from 1958 to 1963. Faye attended income tax school in 1968 and worked with tax returns until 1986. During her last years in Pryor, she was an active participant in her church family and a loving presence to neighbors and other good friends. A lovely lady who has left so many wonderful memories for all to cherish. Funeral Services will be held in the First Church of God on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 10 a.m. with Reverend Andrew Rehbein officiating. Interment will be in the Graham Memorial Cemetery with E. J. Cox, Tom Day, Frankie Morgan, Paul Sherman, Gene Gage and Jay Jackson serving as casket bearers. Honorary Bearers will include Marilyn Keith, Laverl Jaggers, Gail Ince, Virginia Ramsey, and Henrietta Head. She is survived by two daughters, Patricia L. McFarland and her husband George of Antlers, OK and Judith Giblin James of Columbia, SC; one brother, Jim Horton and his wife Nancy of Phoenix, AZ; one grandchild, Angela Little and her husband Cody of Antlers, OK; two great grandchildren, Cody John Little and his wife Kallie and Corey Robbins and her husband Lucas; one great great grandchild, Madilyn Little. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Giblin.
