Foline Bryan, 84, of Spavinaw, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at her home. She was born on March 30, 1930 in a Log Cabin in Wagoner County; the daughter of Nathaniel and Ora Scott. Foline loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed going fishing and hunting. She also enjoyed gardening. She worked for the Home of Hope and Grand Lake Mental Health as a Cook, as she loved cooking and helping others. Foline resided in Spavinaw for 2 and a half years, coming from Pensacola, Oklahoma for over 37 years. She looked forward to family time and spending each moment she had with the people she loved most. She leaves behind many wonderful memories and will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2014 in the Ghormley Cemetery with Reverend Laura Styles officiating. Casket bearers will be Arliss Bryan, Lloyd Mendenhall, Jack James, Jerry Dyer, James Mendenhall and Patrick Mendenhall. Foline is survived by her son, Arliss Bryan of Spavinaw, Oklahoma; daughter, Judy and husband Lloyd Mendenhall of Muskogee, Oklahoma; sister, Maxine Bryan of Coweta, Oklahoma; brother in law, Roy Bryan of Tulsa, Oklahoma; 3 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; 9 great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Bryan, parents, Nathaniel and Ora Scott, and sister, Bertia Alice Bryan.
