Forest Eligah Rogers, Jr., age 75, passed away peacefully in his home on March 18, 2025, surrounded by family. Born in Skiatook, Oklahoma, on October 10, 1949, Forest, also known as Junior and Squirrel to his friends, was a man who deeply cherished his family and the life he built throughout the years.
Forest’s legacy is one of hard work, kindness, and love. A devoted husband, father, and Papa, he leaves behind a family that will forever be grateful for his wisdom, laughter, and strength. He was known for his unwavering support, his gentle spirit, and his ability to light up any room with his presence.
He had a passion for nature and tinkering, spending countless hours fishing with his grandchildren, listening to a variety of music, and dancing with his daughters and grandchildren. Forest loved watching OKC Thunder basketball and westerns, and he found joy in every adventure with his grandkids. Whether it was teaching them how to fix things, take care of animals, or spoiling them with treats, he always made sure everyone was fed, happy, and loved.
Forest cherished day trips with his beloved wife, Cathy, always finding new places to stop and eat along the way. He had a special fondness for antique stores, where he would search for treasures while chatting with everyone he met. He filled the lives of those around him with laughter, snickering, and a playful spirit. His hard work, unsolicited advice, and affection for his animals and loved ones will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Cathy Ann Ramsey Rogers, whom he married on August 6, 1971; his daughters Hannah Morris and husband Chad of Pryor, and Heather Collins and husband Josh of Pryor; grandsons Ben Hayes and fiancée Sophie Suiter of Pryor, and Elijah Hayes and wife Alexis of Pryor; granddaughters Lillian Steward and husband Braydun, and Adalyn Moore; great-grandchildren Atleigh Hayes, Ellis Hayes, and a great-grandchild on the way.
