Frances Kay Sanders, a beloved resident of Eucha, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 24, 2024, at the age of 86. She was born July 31, 1937, in Hulbert, Oklahoma. Frances was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend who found joy in the simple pleasures like bird watching, tending to her garden and cooking for her loved ones. A social butterfly, her most cherished times were spent gathering with family and friends. When not outside enjoying all nature has to offer you could find her watching her ball games, cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs during football season and the Lakers during basketball season. Frances was immensely proud of her children and grandchildren and cherished her role in their lives.
She leaves behind her sons William Fechner and Nyctasia Gamber, and Andrew Sanders of Eucha, Ok; Daughter Alicia Fechner of OKC, Ok; Grandchildren Elvira and Keanu Fechner, Lorissa and Christian Pope, Sammy Keener and Kelly Hutton, Ashley and Dylan Cahwee. Additionally, she leaves behind numerous great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her loving husband of many years Arlin “Joe” Sanders; her children, Gary Keener, Loretta “Lori” Pope, and Don Cahwee. Frances will be remembered for her kind and nurturing nature, always putting others before herself. She had a warm and welcoming presence that touched the lives of those around her. Frances will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May Frances' soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory continue to bring comfort and strength to those who love her.
Funeral services for Frances will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Kansas First Baptist Church in Litte Kansas with Pastor Terry Wofford officiating. Interment will take place on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at Fort Gibson Nation Cemetery in Fort Gibson, Ok.
